Elon Musk Runs Polls on Whether to Resign

Musk has turned to a Twitter poll to decide whether to resign as the CEO of Twitter amid all the commotion. Additionally, the billionaire declared that he would follow the poll’s findings. The change coincides with Musk’s search for new investors for the social networking site. 10.6 million votes have been cast with 6 hours remaining as of press time, with 56% of voters saying they want Musk to resign. After acquiring control of Twitter for only 45 days, a recent decision was made.

Musk, as shown by the recent developments, has had to reconsider the recent developments after intense criticism and condemnation of Twitter’s recent policy modifications. In light of the latest Twitter policy changes, Elon Musk has drawn criticism. Musk has been in charge of several significant policy changes on Twitter over the past few days. More controversy and a couple of account suspensions have resulted from this.

Since Musk took over, the social media network has undergone significant policy modifications, with trumps reinstation on the platform making the most trends. This involves employing halves of its workforce and reopening a few blocked accounts. Additionally, there has been a lot of talk on Wall Street about how Musk’s antics on Twitter are hurting the value of Tesla shares.

Reactions to Musk’s poll

Amid the poll announcement by the Twitter CEO, many comments couldn’t go unnoticed. Vitalik,  a renowned crypto community member, also took his remarks to Twitter amid the announcement. Vitalik expressed much respect regarding Elon’s statement.

Elon Musk stated that the issue wasn’t finding a CEO but rather finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive in response to a comment made by the whole mars catalog, who claimed to have advised him to hire someone as Twitter CEO from the start so that he could blame that person when things went wrong. Elon claims that significant policy alterations will be put to the vote in the near future.

Twitter prohibits reporters

A few journalists from CNN and The Washington Post were banned from Twitter in an unprecedented move to restore free speech on the network after they were accused of doxxing a user’s whereabouts. The American Civil Liberties Union called this action a “dangerous precedent,” and the United Nations strongly condemned it.

Twitter also adjusted its policies over the weekend, claiming it will ban accounts created purely to advertise other social media networks. However, this resulted in the suspension of one of the most well-known accounts, which prompted Musk to intervene mere hours after the policy’s debut and announce that he would make a few changes.
