Lisk Accelerator Program for Web3 Startups

Lisk, a blockchain application platform, has announced the launch of its new accelerator program aimed at supporting the development of Web3 solutions. The Lisk Accelerator Program will provide funding of up to 250,000 CHF, or $270K per project, for startups and developers committed to Web3 development.

Objective of the accelerator program

The program’s objective is to encourage the growth of Lisk’s tech stack and promote innovation in distributed ledger technology (DLT), targeting developers committed to multi-year projects. The accelerator program will operate in two phases. Phase 1 would run from March 20 to June 30, 2023, while phase 2 is set to operate from Sept.1 to Nov. 30, 2023.

Funding options for successful applicants

For successful applicants, there are four funding stages available. The Bootstrap Grant worth 4,000 CHF is available for startups that have yet to develop a proof of concept (POC) using the Lisk SDK. The next is the Builder Grant worth 65,000 CHF for developers in the “application creation” phase. This allows developers to create Web3 applications with the support of Lisk’s ecosystem team, access to knowledge bases, the founders’ network, and tokenomics experts.

The Booster Grant provides 85,000 CHF in funding and is available after completing the testnet phase, including access to UX/UI support, investor pitching, and one-on-one coaching. Finally, projects that have shipped their apps fit for their target market, and are ready to scale can apply for a final 100,000 CHF in funding through the Breakout Grant.

Support for Web3 developer teams

The Lisk Accelerator Program will provide Web3 developer teams with the mentoring, technical support, expertise, and funding they need to turn their ideas into reality. Developers that successfully ship their products to the market will retain 100% of the equity, capturing all of the upsides while playing their part in developing Lisk’s Web3 ecosystem.

Open-source platform and SDK

Lisk is an open-source, decentralized application platform designed for interoperability with sidechains. Its JavaScript SDK makes it easy for developers to create their Lisk-compatible sidechains and Web3 applications, with each application having its own blockchain, allowing for virtually infinite customization. And the accelerator program will provide startups with the needed tools and opportunities.

Lisk CEO’s vision

Lisk CEO Max Kordek believes that Web3 applications can disrupt many industries, from finance to healthcare to supply chain management, by eliminating intermediaries and enabling trustless interactions. He sees the Lisk Accelerator as a way to find and support innovative Web3 projects. The program is open to startups committed to pursuing blockchain implementations, with a focus on app-specific solutions.

An opportunity for Web3 startups

Lisk’s Accelerator Program offers an exciting opportunity for startups committed to Web3 development. The program provides funding, technical support, expertise, and mentoring, which can help to bring innovative projects to fruition. The program’s phased approach ensures that startups receive support throughout the development process, from the creation of a proof of concept to scaling the app for the target market.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Lisk Accelerator Program provides an excellent opportunity for startups committed to Web3 development. The program’s phased approach and funding options ensure that startups receive the support they need throughout the development process. With Lisk’s open-source platform and SDK, developers can create Lisk-compatible sidechains and Web3 applications, enabling virtually infinite customization. Lisk’s commitment to Web3 development, through initiatives such as the accelerator program, is helping to drive the next wave of disruptive technology.
