While it is known for its strict governance, which has often hindered or even increased the likelihood of a number of ransomware and other cyber attacks, as far as passive market-making is concerned, Coincao the well-known US-based crypto exchange has come to some extent, the board of directors was enlarged by three personalities with names popular in the political circle. In addition to Chris Lehane, who was a member of OpenAI and a former assistant to the President of the United States of America-Bill Clinton, Paul Clement, was the US solicitor-General during the time of President Bush, and Christa Davies is the Finance Director for Aon, who is on Coinbase board.

Expanding the Board

The three new members would bring the total of the Coinbase board to ten, as per Reuters. The injection of these new directors at a time when the exchange is just about to take advantage of a more supportive political environment especially with the November election, promises to make quite a difference for the sought-after cryptocurrency trading platform.

Bipartisan Credentials

Likewise, the three entrants, Lehane, Clement, and Davies will be adding to the Coinbase boards of trustees’ bipartisan review. Lehane, the personal counselor, was heard stressing that collaboration with both the Democrat and the Republican parties would bring the expected achievement of digital currency. “Cryptography should win over the political left and right, so it needs to be bipartisan” he commented in one of his interviews with the news agency Reuters.

Clement, on the other hand, will advise Coinbase in its efforts to challenge what it perceives as regulatory overreach by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Davies will work on making Coinbase a world-beater in finance and operations.

Long-standing Relationship

The relationship between Lehane and the executives of Coinbase has been going on for some time. In a recent interview with Politico, he disclosed that meetings he has been part of regarding the formation of trust between representatives and the crypto industry had finally culminated in him taking the board seat of the company. He expressed the support of the democratic and republican senators, who are in the team of the Investment Advisor, in finding practical step-by-step solutions to the problems faced by the industry.

Lehane also explored the new role of super PACs that is currently moving through the political landscape of cryptocurrency, encouraging strategy and transparency to.

Political and Legal Strategy

Paul Grewal, Coinbase’s Chief Legal Officer, labeled Lehane as a legendary figure able to mix politics with law. His insights into the crypto debate were of prime significance, he stressed. Grewal added, “On Coinbase’s journey to embrace government policy, communication with policy-makers across the whole spectrum of government will be through his advise and guidance”

By filling the board with experienced, distinguished members, Coinbase shows its dedication to addressing the complex regulatory and political situation as well as ensuring its growth and influence in the rapidly changing crypto industry.
