Donald Trump and Kamala Harris Neck and Neck in Latest Poll
In Polymarket’s survey conducted last Monday, one can clearly see that Donald Trump and Kamal Harris are running neck and neck in the U.S. presidential election. According to a data output tool, Trump’s thin lead over Harris by 1 point or 50% of the total votes is cited as shown, whereas Harris herself comes in pretty close with 49%.
Shifting Momentum: Harris Loses Lead
On a normal Monday, Truman Polymarket’s betting markets show, that Jackson won against Harris, leaning over Trump slightly leading. Moreover, over the weekend, Trump managed to win over his most serious opponent. By Sunday, the race had become extremely tight again with both candidates getting 50% of the votes and a tie that was later broken by Trump’s slight lead.
RFK Jr. Withdraws and Endorses Trump
This comes just a couple of days after the third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr announced his withdrawal giving all his support to Trump, thus creating these major fluctuations. At a rally held in Arizona on Friday, Kennedy openly declared his support for Trump and said, “We are both working for the interest of the nation”.
Kennedy, a relative underdog in this contest preponderating by Trump and Harris, was involved in controversy following his endorsement speech. The Democrats were quick to respond with a statement released by his family denouncing their support for Donald Trump. “We believe that was a regretful ending to a sad story,” they lamented.
Harris Pushes Forward Amid Controversy
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has maintained her tireless efforts in running her campaign and she has now officially taken the Democratic Party’s nomination at the Democratic National Convention that was held in Chicago last Thursday. In a speech of her acceptance, Harris stressed the idea of unity by saying that “With this election, our nation has a precious, fleeting opportunity to move past the bitterness, cynicism, and divisive battles of the past.”
Yet, Harris has mostly been silent on issues related to the blockchain industry, a topic that Donald Trump has increasingly championed. Trump expressed his proposal for the development of a crypto project being implemented by his sons, Donald Jr., and Eric, lately. In a Truth Social post, Trump was critical of big banks and financial elites claiming that the financial revolution should be carried out by the digital asset.
The importance of Digital Assets in the Race
As the contest to the White House looks quite similar, the differences of the candidates relating to digital and blockchain technology will have a big effect on the voters that may decide the election outcome. The slim margins in the recent survey by Polymarket further emphasize the significance of these matters as the election draws near.
Having the race going in dead heat mode, both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris will thus have to be extremely cautious regarding this and the other critical issues in order to get the support they need to get their win confirmed.
