Lumera Introduces Cascade for AI Data Storage
AI-focused blockchain Lumera Protocol has unveiled Cascade, a permanent decentralized storage solution for artificial intelligence data. As AI systems become increasingly data-intensive, Lumera aims to provide a long-term, reliable solution for storing critical datasets.
Pay Once, Store Forever
Cascade is designed around three principles — redundancy, permanence, and availability. It allows users to pay once and store data permanently, a concept rarely seen in blockchain storage models.
The system works by dividing uploaded files into small, overlapping fragments distributed across SuperNodes. These nodes ensure data redundancy and automatic restoration through Cascade’s self-healing mechanism, maintaining data integrity even if nodes go offline.
Lumera Hub: Unified Access Point
Alongside Cascade, Lumera launched the Lumera Hub, an interface connecting users and developers to its decentralized infrastructure. The Hub provides a unified dashboard to store, access, and manage files within the Lumera ecosystem.
“The Lumera Hub is designed to make our ecosystem accessible to both developers and end users, while Cascade represents a new standard for permanent storage,” said Anthony Georgiades, Co-Founder of Lumera Protocol.
According to Georgiades, the goal is to create an infrastructure that is simple, resilient, and censorship-resistant, designed to endure as long as the data it stores.
Building the Future of AI Data Infrastructure
By integrating Cascade with the Lumera Hub, the project delivers a decentralized, permanent data storage system tailored for the growing needs of AI developers and organizations — setting a new benchmark for blockchain-based data management.
