Diverse Blockchain Networks Integrated

Google Cloud has unveiled that its BigQuery platform has augmented its data warehousing abilities by seamlessly merging with 11 notable blockchain networks. This list comprises Avalanche, Arbitrum, Cronos, Ethereum’s Görli testnet, Fantom, Near, Optimism, Polkadot, Polygon’s primary network, Polygon’s Mumbai testnet, and Tron.

Inclusive View Across Cryptocurrency

The decision by Google Cloud to incorporate these renowned blockchains within BigQuery’s public datasets is a reflection of the collective demand voiced by various stakeholders. These include blockchain foundations, Web3 analytics companies, partners, software developers, and end users. The chief aim behind this move is to offer users a holistic view of the crypto ecosystem, facilitating complex queries across diverse networks.

Empowering In-depth Analysis

Users can now delve into sophisticated questions with ease. Some examples include discerning the daily creation of NFTs across select chains, contrasting transaction costs across networks, and pinpointing the number of active digital wallets on leading EVM networks. As the official statement puts it, “The broader array of chains available through BigQuery and innovative data access methods empower the Web3 community to efficiently address these questions and more.”

About BigQuery and Further Developments

BigQuery is a manifestation of Google’s dedication to providing a serverless, fully managed data warehouse that permits the analysis of colossal data volumes. It supports querying via a SQL dialect and boasts embedded machine learning features.

Moreover, in keeping with the upgrades, Google Cloud has improved the existing Bitcoin BigQuery dataset. This enhancement introduces Satoshis (sats) / Ordinals to the open-source blockchain-ETL datasets, allowing developers more comprehensive query capabilities. This step is in harmony with Google’s focus on bolstering Web3, as evidenced by its recent initiative – the ‘Google for Startups Cloud Program’, which aspires to back Web3 startups and projects in their growth journey.
