Fidinam, a major consulting firm in Switzerland announced its plans to start accepting Shiba Inu as a payment means on Tuesday. The acceptance of the SHIB token will make it possible for holders of the crypto asset to make payments to the company.
Following the news, the admin of the Shiba Inu community in Venezuela came to Twitter to warmly welcome Fidinam to the meme coin world.
Fidinam, which was founded in 1960 has officially become the first Swiss multinational to accept the meme coin. The company has its headquarters in Switzerland but has numerous branches across other countries including the U.S and the U.K.
The company offers tax and business consultations to individuals and organizations. A significant number of their customer base make use of cryptocurrencies and will be glad to embrace the new development.
Fidinam is not the only major institution that recently embraced cryptocurrencies as a payment option. In the United States, Porsche Towson struck a new deal with the famous crypto platform BitPay. The deal will enable customers to buy Porsche vehicles with top cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Shiba.
Amidst this great news in SHIB’s community, the price of the “Doge Killer” did not spike. The famous meme coin is currently valued at $0.00002411.
Perhaps, a few SHIB fans would have expected the price to react positively to the news as it did last week. Shiba was listed on one of the world’s leading centralized exchanges, last week.
Following the listing on Robinhood, the price rose by about 20%, reaching a monthly high of $0.00003. Although, a day after the listing, the price retraced its steps and returned to the $0.000026 region.
