Bloomberg analysts predict 95% approval odds for Solana, Litecoin, and XRP ETFs in 2025

SEC May Approve SOL, LTC, and XRP Spot ETFs in 2025

Bloomberg ETFs analysts James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas have upgraded the probability of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approving spot ETFs for Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC), and XRP to 95%. The updated prediction was posted on Twitter on June 20, 2025.

Analysts attribute their fresh perspective to better cooperation between the SEC and ETF applicants.

More Altcoin ETF Approvals Widely Anticipated as Well
Other than SOL, LTC, and XRP, Seyffart and Balchunas forecast 90% likelihood of approval for other altcoin ETFs in 2025, including Dogecoin, Cardano, Avalanche, Hedera, and Polkadot.

They also foresee a 95% approbation probability for crypto index ETFs submitted by Grayscale, Hashdex, Bitwise, and Franklin Templeton. A number of them are nearing end SEC deadlines in early July.

SEC Engagement Signifies Shift in Regulatory Strategy

Seyffart pointed out that the greater odds are the product of overt engagement by the SEC, an indicator regulators will probably view most altcoins commodities. The existence of Commodity Futures Trading Commission-regulated markets for the assets also supports the argument.

“The timing of these approvals is less clear,” Seyffart went on. Decisions may be coming in weeks or closer to final deadlines in October or November.

Analysts: It’s a Matter of When, Not If

Despite the timing doubt, analysts both think the approvals are inevitable. “It’s when, not if,” they stated, suggesting altcoin ETF launches could hugely amplify exposure to the wider crypto market in 2025.
