Uniswap Lab announced the release of new swap widget themes for the exchange on Tuesday, April 26. The DeFi platform launched new swap widget themes to improve the interface and enhance the user experience.
The new widgets let users trade tokens on the platform without needing to leave the decentralized app. The new-look had several color themes and users can customize the look of the swap platform from mobiles and PCs.
In recent times, there have been lots of calls for DeFi platforms to upgrade their user interfaces. Many users also struggle with navigating through decentralized exchanges like Uniswap due to the unfriendly nature of the platform.
New decentralized platforms have taken note of this issue and have been working towards making interfaces easier to use.
Uniswap’s widget upgrade indicates that the platform is working hard to make the platform more user-friendly.
The decentralized swap platform is currently running on its version 3 upgrade which was effected in May 2021. The V3 upgrade made it possible for users to swap their tokens at a lower cost, compared to the V1 and V2 editions.
Liquidity providers also enjoy more flexibility on version 3 of the exchange.
The platform was founded in 2018 by Hayden Adams with the goal of helping crypto users exchange their assets without using order books. Uniswap uses automated market makers to make swapping seamless.
Uniswap also has a native token, like every other decentralized platform. The UNI token is used as the governance token of the platform. Platform changes can be effected when a high percentage of the governing members vote in support of a change in the protocol.
