Hyperscale Data, the AI data center company trading as GPUS on the NYSE American, disclosed in a press release that as of July 19 it held 1,087.4527 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $70.3 million based on a Bitcoin closing price of $64,691. The company’s wholly owned subsidiaries Sentinum and Ault Capital Group collectively hold the position, with ACG purchasing about 51.5 Bitcoin in the open market during the prior week.

Hyperscale Data’s Bitcoin Treasury Accumulation

The company’s executive chairman highlighted that the market remains disconnected from the operational strength being built through its Michigan data center and the expanding asset base. This accumulation mirrors a broader trend of publicly traded companies allocating treasury capital to Bitcoin, a theme highlighted when Bitcoin Hits Two-Week High Near $65,500 as Chip Trade Turns Tailwind.

The Bitcoin treasury now represents a significant portion of the company’s total assets, yet management argues its enterprise value fails to reflect that fact. The gap between market capitalization and underlying net asset value has become a recurring narrative among firms adopting Bitcoin as a reserve asset. As a parallel, Saylor’s Strategy Raises Cash Reserves to $3.2 Billion, Bitcoin Holdings Unchanged illustrates similar dynamics in corporate treasury management.

Implications for AI Data Center and Crypto Markets

The intersection of AI infrastructure and Bitcoin treasury strategies is drawing fresh attention as data center operators leverage balance sheet capital to hold digital assets. Hyperscale Data’s positioning aligns with recent market activity where AI Compute Stocks Bounce as Hut 8 and IREN Land Multi-Billion Dollar Contracts, signaling a convergence between the physical compute boom and crypto-native corporate treasuries.

The company’s continued Bitcoin purchases, even as the broader crypto market digests macroeconomic headwinds, suggests conviction in the asset’s long-term store of value properties. With over $70 million in Bitcoin now on the balance sheet, Hyperscale Data is cementing its identity as a hybrid AI-crypto enterprise, potentially influencing other mid-cap data center firms to explore similar treasury allocations.
