Hyperscale Data has completed the sale of approximately 685 Bitcoin for roughly $43 million in cash, according to a company press release. The transaction reduced outstanding debt by about $30 million and is intended to strengthen liquidity for the company’s Michigan data center buildout.
What the Sale Means for Hyperscale Data’s Bitcoin Treasury
After the liquidation, Hyperscale Data said it holds roughly 275 Bitcoin and expects to continue mining Bitcoin, with plans to rebuild its holdings over time subject to market conditions. The maneuver reflects a capital-reallocation decision rather than an exit from bitcoin. The company said it will deploy most of the proceeds toward the continued development and expansion of its Michigan data center, while also creating flexibility for debt, equity, and strategic initiatives. Balance-Sheet Tradeoff and What to Watch
The sale leaves Hyperscale Data with a smaller bitcoin position but a cleaner balance sheet, reducing debt by approximately $30 million.
