Uniform Labs has closed the seed round for Multiliquid, its institutional liquidity protocol for tokenized assets, with Polychain leading the round and participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures, and Circle Ventures. The round brings Multiliquid’s total funding to $8 million, according to the company’s press release. The announcement adds another data point to a growing push to make tokenized Treasuries, money-market funds, and private credit more usable for regulated institutions.
The protocol is designed to address a structural problem in tokenized markets: primary subscription and redemption cycles for tokenized funds can take days, limiting how quickly institutions can move between yield-bearing assets and transactional stablecoins. Multiliquid positions itself as a neutral, compliance-first liquidity layer that enables atomic swaps between blue-chip tokenized assets and stablecoins such as USDC. The raise follows other blockchain infrastructure rounds, including Noah Raises $16M, Total Seed Funding Hits $38M, as capital continues to flow into on-chain financial rails.
Multiliquid’s Institutional Liquidity Layer
Tokenized assets from Treasuries and money-market funds to private credit are becoming a frontier in institutional digital finance, but adoption remains constrained when redemptions take days. Multiliquid’s architecture is meant to provide programmatic rails for institutions to rotate between tokenized funds and stablecoins 24/7 without balance-sheet drag. The protocol supports tokenized funds from Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson, and Fasanara. Founder and CEO Will Beeson framed the product as on-chain plumbing for liquidity, saying tokenization only matters if the assets are actually liquid. Deals such as Polygon Completes Coinme Acquisition for US Payments reflect a broader institutional push toward usable digital-asset infrastructure.
The emphasis on atomic transactions is notable because it reduces settlement risk and can compress the time between investment and redemption. Instead of waiting for fund managers to process subscriptions, holders can swap directly against available liquidity. That capability may appeal to treasury managers who need to preserve capital efficiency while meeting internal risk and compliance standards.
Stablecoin Compliance and What to Watch
Federal stablecoin frameworks, including the GENIUS Act, generally prohibit payment stablecoin issuers from paying yield directly to holders. That creates demand for separate liquidity infrastructure that can move funds between yield-bearing instruments and transactional stablecoins without balance-sheet drag. Multiliquid aims to serve that compliance-sensitive segment, with support for USDC and tokenized products from established asset managers. The participation of Circle Ventures alongside Polychain and others indicates convergence between stablecoin issuers and liquidity rails. A related expansion is visible in the stablecoin security market, as seen in BTQ Named Security Partner for MoonPay Korea Stablecoin. The presence of a stablecoin issuer’s venture arm also signals that liquidity and issuance may become more tightly linked as regulated tokenized products scale.
For the tokenized-asset sector, watch whether Multiliquid can attract deeper liquidity across multiple chains and whether additional asset managers add their products. Execution will depend on regulatory clarity, counterparty onboarding, and the ability to demonstrate meaningful transaction volume beyond the seed round.
