Worldcoin Price Prediction: Can WLD Reach $5 by 2030?

Conceptual identity network illustrated as a luminous sphere of connected nodes.

Worldcoin (WLD) traded around $0.498 at the October 18, 2026 reference snapshot, with CoinGecko reporting a 3.83% decline over 24 hours. A potential adoption catalyst is the World Money rollout announced on September 17, 2026, beginning in 150+ countries, with features and eligibility varying by country. The main constraint is supply. About 3.817248 billion WLD was circulating against a 10 billion initial supply cap. In our scenario model, $5 by 2030 is possible only near the upper edge of the bull case because it would imply roughly a $30 billion market capitalization at an assumed 6 billion circulating tokens.

World’s own tokenomics documentation states that the initial WLD supply cap is 10 billion and that inflation beyond 10 billion cannot begin before July 24, 2038 at 04:00 UTC. That makes dilution before 2030 primarily an unlock and distribution question rather than an inflation question. It is also why a WLD forecast should not compare future prices with today’s market cap without adjusting the assumed circulating supply.

Coinbase’s ticker price is approximately 0.31% above the reference. Its pair volume is not global market volume. CoinGecko’s reported cap and FDV differ by approximately 0.053% from price × supply; the fields are retained as reported, not forced into exact agreement. The 10B provider maximum is not a perpetual protocol limit. Prices and supply are time-sensitive.

What is driving the Worldcoin price prediction now?

The WLD thesis has two opposing forces.

On the demand side, World is trying to make Proof of Human and World Money useful in everyday internet and financial workflows. On September 17, World announced that World Money was beginning to roll out in 150+ countries, with wallets, payments, stablecoin balances and Mini Apps; features and eligibility vary by country.

The World Money rollout could increase network relevance. But product usage does not automatically become WLD buying pressure. Investors need to distinguish “World ecosystem adoption” from “token value capture.”

World’s April 30, 2025 fee proposal described application fees payable in WLD and a planned pilot, not evidence of live fee revenue today. This model assumes no verified current fee revenue. That is a potential token-demand channel, but a forecast should not assume that every World ID interaction already creates a fixed amount of WLD demand. Product implementation, fee policy, governance and user behavior can change.

WLD tokenomics: the initial 10 billion supply is not a perpetual maximum

The starting supply architecture is straightforward: 10 billion WLD initially, with no protocol inflation above that amount before July 24, 2038 at 04:00 UTC. After that date, governance may set inflation, capped at 1.5% annually, with a default rate of zero.

The difficult part is the circulating schedule.

World’s unlock documentation provides an upper-bound schedule for World Community tokens:

Period Community tokens unlocked during period Cumulative community unlock
At launch 0.5B 0.5B
Launch to end of Year 3 3.5B 4.0B
Start Year 4 to end Year 6 1.75B 5.75B
Start Year 7 to end Year 9 0.875B 6.625B
Start Year 10 to end Year 15 0.875B 7.5B

World explicitly says the rate at which unlocked community tokens enter circulation depends on network growth. That means “unlocked” and “circulating” are not interchangeable.

For the scenario math below, BTC-Pulse uses analytical circulating-supply assumptions rather than presenting the upper-bound schedule as a promise:

  • 2026: 3.9B WLD
  • 2027: 4.5B WLD
  • 2030: 6.0B WLD

These are model inputs, not official forecasts. If actual circulation runs materially above or below them, the implied market caps change.

Why $5 WLD is a market-cap question

A price target becomes more useful when converted into the market value required to support it.

At 6.0 billion circulating WLD, a $5 token price implies:

6.0B WLD × $5 = $30B market cap

That is about 15.8 times the current $1.900771 billion reference market cap. The required increase is large, but the relevant comparison is market cap, not the distance from the token’s former all-time high.

A historical price can be misleading if supply was much lower at the time. WLD’s CoinGecko all-time high is around $11.74, but reclaiming the same nominal price with several billion more circulating tokens would require a much larger network valuation.

Worldcoin price prediction for 2026

With only part of 2026 remaining, this scenario is intentionally narrower than the long-term ranges.

Assumed circulating supply: 3.9B WLD.

Scenario Weight Price range Implied market cap
Bear 30% $0.30–$0.40 $1.17B–$1.56B
Base 45% $0.45–$0.65 $1.76B–$2.54B
Bull 25% $0.75–$1.00 $2.93B–$3.90B

Bear case

The bear case assumes that World Money adoption does not translate into stronger token demand, the broader altcoin market remains weak, and continued WLD circulation absorbs new demand.

A move toward $0.30–$0.40 would put the model market cap near or below the current reference market value despite slightly higher circulating supply.

Base case

The base case assumes World Money continues its rollout without a major demand shock. WLD stabilizes around the recent range and receives some benefit from broader market recovery, but token value capture remains unproven.

Bull case

The bull case requires a stronger risk-on market plus evidence that World’s product distribution is producing measurable network demand. A return toward $1 would still imply a sub-$4 billion market cap under our 2026 supply assumption.

Worldcoin price prediction for 2027

Assumed circulating supply: 4.5B WLD.

Scenario Weight Price range Implied market cap
Bear 30% $0.20–$0.40 $0.90B–$1.80B
Base 45% $0.55–$1.00 $2.48B–$4.50B
Bull 25% $1.20–$2.00 $5.40B–$9.00B

By 2027, the decisive issue is less likely to be a single product announcement and more likely to be retention: are World ID proofs, financial integrations and World Money actually used repeatedly?

If growth is mostly headline-driven while token circulation expands, price can stay weak even as the ecosystem adds users. The bull case therefore assumes both product traction and a clear reason for WLD to capture part of that economic activity.

Worldcoin price prediction for 2030

Assumed circulating supply: 6.0B WLD.

Scenario Weight Price range Implied market cap
Bear 30% $0.15–$0.50 $0.90B–$3.00B
Base 45% $0.80–$1.80 $4.80B–$10.80B
Bull 25% $2.50–$5.00 $15.00B–$30.00B

Our base case does not require WLD to return to its old high. It assumes World becomes a meaningful identity and financial network while WLD captures enough utility to support a mid-single-digit to roughly $10 billion market capitalization.

The $5 target sits at the top of the bull case. It requires a $30 billion market cap under our supply model. That would need World to become much larger than it is today and would likely require durable token demand rather than temporary narrative momentum.

Catalyst 1: World Money distribution

World Money matters because it extends World from identity into a financial application.

The September rollout includes stablecoin balances, payments and Mini Apps. If the product attracts recurring users, World gains more touchpoints where identity and financial services can reinforce each other.

The risk for WLD holders is that users may receive value from World Money without needing to buy WLD. A successful app and a successful token are related but not identical outcomes.

Catalyst 2: the Proof of Human thesis

World’s April 30, 2025 protocol explanation describes World ID as a privacy-preserving identity protocol with a Proof of Human credential. Its thesis is that applications need ways to distinguish humans from automated accounts. This is a long-term adoption thesis, not a new October launch.

For WLD, the useful question is whether applications request proofs repeatedly and whether the protocol’s economic design routes meaningful value through the token. More verification activity alone does not establish WLD buying pressure.

The biggest WLD risks

Dilution and distribution

The initial 10 billion supply does not remove dilution from today’s 3.817248 billion circulating base. More unlocked tokens can enter circulation over time. If demand does not grow as fast, price can remain under pressure.

Token value capture may lag product adoption

World ID can become useful without guaranteeing a proportional increase in WLD demand. This is the central valuation risk in the model.

Regulatory and privacy scrutiny

Restrictions on biometric data, privacy or verification could slow user acquisition, change verification procedures or increase compliance costs.

Competition

Digital identity, passkeys, government credentials and competing proof-of-personhood systems can reduce World’s share of the identity market. In finance, World Money also competes with established wallets, exchanges and fintech applications.

Market beta

WLD remains a volatile altcoin. Even strong project progress can be overwhelmed by a broad crypto risk-off cycle.

Governance and implementation risk

Token economics and product policy can evolve. Forecasts based on today’s fee design or unlock assumptions can become obsolete after governance or product changes.

What would invalidate the base case?

The base case should be downgraded if several of the following happen together:

  • verified-human or proof usage stagnates despite product launches;
  • World Money fails to sustain adoption after rollout;
  • material jurisdictions block or sharply restrict core verification workflows;
  • circulating supply grows materially faster than the model assumes;
  • the World ID fee model does not create meaningful WLD-linked demand;
  • liquidity deteriorates or WLD loses access to major markets.

The base case would deserve an upgrade only with measurable evidence: sustained proof usage, enterprise integrations moving beyond pilots, recurring World Money activity and a clearer relationship between network use and WLD demand.

Is WLD undervalued at $0.50?

A low nominal token price does not by itself mean undervaluation.

At roughly $0.50 and 3.817248 billion circulating WLD, the network already carries a market capitalization around $1.9 billion. The question is whether future World usage can justify a larger capitalization after additional WLD enters circulation.

Investors who compare WLD with its $11.74 historical high without adjusting for supply are missing the most important part of the valuation.

Can Worldcoin reach $1?

Yes, $1 is arithmetically plausible.

At the 2027 model supply of 4.5 billion WLD, $1 implies a $4.5 billion market cap. That is substantially above today’s value but not an extraordinary size for a successful crypto network.

Our model places $1 at the top of the 2027 base case and below the 2030 bull case.

Can Worldcoin reach $5?

It can, but $5 is not the base case.

At 6 billion circulating tokens, $5 requires roughly a $30 billion market cap. For that outcome to be defensible, World would need major durable adoption plus evidence that WLD captures part of the economic value generated by that adoption.

A speculative crypto-wide bull market could temporarily push valuations faster than fundamentals, but this forecast does not assume that as the central case.

WLD forecast summary

Year Bear Base Bull
2026 $0.30–$0.40 $0.45–$0.65 $0.75–$1.00
2027 $0.20–$0.40 $0.55–$1.00 $1.20–$2.00
2030 $0.15–$0.50 $0.80–$1.80 $2.50–$5.00

Scenario weights are 30% bear, 45% base and 25% bull. They describe a framework, not probabilities derived from a statistical pricing model.

The September 17, 2026 World Money announcement provides a dated rollout catalyst, with features and eligibility varying by country. WLD also has a measurable constraint: circulating supply can continue rising toward a much larger unlocked pool. The balance between those forces is more important than any single price target.
