Fireblocks Launches Stablecoin Liquidity Market

Fireblocks has launched Fireblocks Liquidity Market, an execution venue that brings streaming OTC pricing into stablecoin payments by connecting multiple liquidity providers in a single trading environment. The enterprise platform, which says it secures $16 trillion in digital asset transactions, is extending its settlement workflow into price discovery and execution. The company says the product is aimed at payments businesses that already hold stablecoin treasuries on Fireblocks and need to compare executable quotes without leaving the platform.

Stablecoin settlement has been moving from pilots to production, as shown by efforts like Lloyds and Visa Complete First USDC Settlement Pilot, but the sourcing of stablecoin liquidity has remained largely manual. Payments companies, fintechs, and banks often negotiate with OTC desks separately through their own portals, credentials, and messaging channels. Quotes can expire before they can be compared, and credit limits and balances are often reconciled by hand.

How the liquidity market changes OTC execution

Instead of desk-by-desk negotiation, customers can request quotes from multiple OTC providers, compare them side by side, and execute using their existing relationships, credit terms, and settlement arrangements. This shifts the competitive dynamic from manual chat-based requests to a more transparent request-for-quote model. At launch, B2C2 and Zodia Markets are live as liquidity providers, with Cumberland, FalconX, GSR, Hercle, Nonco, and Wintermute expected to follow quickly. Fireblocks said OTC and trading firms moved nearly $50 billion in stablecoins to payments companies, fintechs, and banks across the Fireblocks Network over the past 12 months.

By bringing price discovery inside the platform, the company argues that payments firms can reduce operational friction while preserving existing counterparty relationships. Ran Goldi, Chief Payments & Network Officer at Fireblocks, said the desks payments companies already trust can bid for every trade under the same controls, rather than forcing treasury teams to manage quotes across disconnected systems.

Design partners and what to watch

MoneyGram, OpenPayd, Reap, TapTapSend, and Zepz have joined as design partners, a sign that cross-border payments and remittance providers view stablecoin liquidity as a core treasury capability. The emphasis on existing credit terms and settlement arrangements suggests Fireblocks is positioning the product as workflow consolidation rather than a standalone exchange or opaque aggregator.

Regional initiatives such as the Asia Crypto Roundup: Stablecoin Safeguards and On-Chain Settlement show how on-chain settlement and regulatory safeguards are developing in parallel. The key watchpoint is whether aggregating OTC quotes can compress pricing and settlement friction without fragmenting credit relationships or creating new operational dependencies. That makes execution quality, counterparty coverage, and settlement integration the main metrics to track.
