Grayscale has launched the first U.S. exchange-traded fund tied to Zcash under the ticker ZCSH, with shares now trading on NYSE Arca, according to a report from Wublockchain. The fund provides regulated exposure to ZEC, the native asset of the privacy-focused Zcash network.
The launch adds another issuer-backed crypto product to the U.S. ETF market, which has increasingly expanded beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum into single-asset and thematic vehicles.
What ZCSH brings to the market
ZCSH is designed to track the performance of Zcash through a traditional exchange-traded structure, allowing investors to gain exposure through brokerage accounts without directly holding ZEC. The listing on NYSE Arca places the fund within a regulated national securities exchange framework, subject to standard listing and disclosure requirements.
Because Zcash uses shielded transactions as an optional privacy feature, the introduction of a U.S. ETF for the asset also highlights the evolving treatment of privacy coins in regulated market infrastructure.
Why the Zcash ETF launch matters
The fund becomes the first U.S. ETF specifically for Zcash, extending the range of crypto assets available in exchange-traded form. For market participants, the debut may be watched as a test of demand for regulated exposure to privacy-oriented digital assets, alongside the broader trend of ETF product expansion across crypto markets.
Market observers will likely monitor trading volume, premium or discount behavior, and whether additional issuers follow with similar Zcash or privacy-asset products. As with any crypto-linked fund, flows and underlying asset volatility can affect how the product performs relative to the spot market.
