On the 19th of September, Polkadot, via its official Twitter account, stated that playable Non-Fungible tokens are now available on Efinity. Additionally, the MyMetaverse MetaHome collection offers interchangeable NFTs that are applicable on three separate gaming platforms, each with a unique appearance depending on the gaming platform it is ported to.
In recognized niches, these NFTs offer special gaming utility. They assume the structure of a rare automobile in Infinity Auto, a MyMetaverse Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 server, and a particular weapon in Survival Infinity, a MyMetaverse Minecraft server.
NFTs were rejected by the community that developed Minecraft, but a platform specializing in the Metaverse niche was able to incorporate NFTs into various gaming platforms, including its personal Minecraft server.
As per Kertonegoro, MyMetaverse Chief Executive Officer, some servers have breached the NFT laws for Minecraft, which were expected to protect gaming enthusiasts from nasty experiences. He did state that they can deploy NFTs on their servers without breaking rules. It was possible by removing all P2W NFTs and offering their top NFTs charge-free to participants.
Since it is a Polkadot associate, MyMetaverse had initial permission to make NFTs available on Efinity. Several platforms are awaiting onboarding in the upcoming days. It has been made possible in large part by Enjin, which helped Efinity by delivering NFTs to gamers and rendering them massively scalable and usable.
With the recent features, they have created interoperability between different gaming platforms. Gamers can use these tokens across their favourite gaming platforms. It is firmly believed that the availability of tokens that function across a series of gaming platforms is a crucial growth element for the expansion of the Metaverse.
With many crypto platforms incorporating various updates, these recent features added to the Metaverse are a massive advantage to blockchain technology as a whole.
