Aleph Zero, an eco-friendly dApp blockchain, has reached a significant milestone in its development as smart contracts have been successfully deployed on the Mainnet. The long-awaited ink! 4.0 smart contracts are now available on the ecosystem, opening the door for new projects to leverage the network’s speed, scalability, and security.
Moreover, the upcoming privacy framework will ensure the protection of user data. The Mainnet has been updated to version 10.0, and both the runtime and Aleph Zero Foundation nodes have already been upgraded. Validators are encouraged to update their nodes to the latest Aleph Node as soon as possible.
Updating the Mainnet to version 10.0
The Aleph Zero Foundation has successfully updated the Mainnet to version 10.0, which includes the ink! 4.0 smart contracts. The runtime and Foundation nodes have already been updated, and validators are encouraged to update their nodes with the latest Aleph Node at their earliest convenience.
Freedom for developers to deploy on the Mainnet
Previously, developers were building their projects on the Testnet before releasing them to the Mainnet. With the deployment of smart contracts on the Mainnet, developers now have the freedom to deploy their products directly to the ecosystem, contributing to its growth and utilizing its features.
Open-source permissionless network
Aleph Zero is an open-source permissionless network that allows anyone to contribute to its development. Developers can read the documentation on Gitbook and seek direct support from the team through the Aleph Zero Discord server. The ecosystem is powered by ink! 4.0, and developers can learn more about this language on the dedicated page by Parity.
Developer Portal and Ecosystem Funding Program
In the following weeks, the Aleph Zero team will release a Developer Portal to guide developers through the onboarding process, tutorials, and provide useful tools in one convenient place. The upcoming Ecosystem Funding Program will help projects building on Aleph Zero in many ways. Support from AWS Activate and Kudelski Security has already been announced, with more to come.
Exciting times ahead
The deployment of smart contracts on the Aleph Zero Mainnet is just the beginning of the ecosystem’s journey as a community. With upcoming launches and projects confirmed over the next few days, we can’t wait to witness the growth and thriving community.
