Anatoly Yakovenko, one of the co-founders of the Solana blockchain, recently threw a jibe at Cardano developers. The tech expert believes that Cardano is taking an extreme approach in running their blockchain.
Anatoly is a seasoned software engineer and has contributed to building several tech products in the last decade. From his experience in the tech space, he believes programmers have to compromise quality at some point, not always trying to be perfect. He stated that engineers have to “swallow or kiss a couple of frogs” in their design and just get the work done.
Cardano Founder Fights Back
The comment made by Anatoly about the Cardano blockchain did not go unnoticed by Charles Hoskinson, the co-founder of the Cardano blockchain. The crypto evangelist replied to Anatoly’s comment sarcastically.
He said:
“So the primary criticism is that Cardano writes software carefully when billions of dollars are at stake from millions of users, and thousands of businesses rely upon the infrastructure for their livelihood? I’d love to see these guys build a hospital. ”
While the founders of Cardano have been lashed frequently for being too slow in implementing developments, it seems their relatively lagging pace is the right option. Indeed, Charles Hoskinson believes that the team should take their time implementing upgrades on their network as a lot is at stake.
To buttress Charles’ point, the Solana network has failed to live up to users’ expectations in recent times. A few days ago, the Solana network was halted, and block production on the chain was suspended for some time. The network has experienced that same issue five times, and users keep losing trust in Solana.
Interestingly, no such thing has ever happened on the Cardano blockchain. It seems the meticulous character of Cardano builders is paying off. Cardano has established a reputation as a blockchain for change-makers, innovators, and visionaries. In the long run, “slow and steady” will triumph over “speed and inconsistency.”
