Tabi’s Successful Angel Funding Round
Tabi, the nonfungible token marketplace previously known as Treasureland, has successfully completed a $10 million angel funding round. This news was confirmed on May 10 by the BNB Chain-based platform.
Venture Capital Firms Back Tabi
The funding round saw participation from notable venture capital firms such as Animoca Brands, Binance Labs, Draper Dragon, Hashkey Capital, Infinity Crypto Venture, and Youbi Capital. Some of the individual investors included in the round were Bo Feng of Dragonfly Capital, Riyad AD of Saudi Arabia, and Suji Yan of Mask Network. According to the team, the funds will be mainly used for developing Tabi’s gaming ecosystem and building its upcoming on-chain identity protocol.
Innovative Features of Tabi’s NFT Marketplace
Aside from the NFT trading and launchpad capabilities, Tabi offers a unique feature where it converts users’ on-chain activities into “experience points”. These points can be exchanged for future airdrop rewards and earnings. The protocol also includes a gaming platform that aggregates blockchain game transactions and entertainment.
NFT Incubation Fund and Reward Plan
Xavier Lee, the founder of Tabi, unveiled plans to launch an “NFT incubation fund”. This initiative aims to encourage developers to design their products, art, and brand on the BNB Chain. To appreciate its early supporters, Tabi is also launching a “reward plan” on the same day as the funding announcement.
Binance’s NFT Operations Expansion
This year has seen Binance ramping up its operations in the NFT space. On March 2, Binance’s native NFT AI generator, “Bicasso”, reached its minting cap of 10,000 in less than three hours post-launch. Binance also revealed on March 8 that it would incorporate Polygon support into its NFT marketplace.
OpenSea’s Integration with BNB Chain
In November of last year, OpenSea, which was the leading NFT marketplace at that time, announced its plan to integrate BNB Chain into its platform. This integration will allow users to buy, list, and trade BNB Chain NFTs directly on OpenSea.
