On October 31st, 2022, the first bridge linking the BSC and the Cardano chain was launched.

The exciting announcement was made on the Twitter page of Cornucopias, a hybrid P2E and B2E blockchain game on the Cardano ecosystem.
Chainport, a cryptocurrency platform that aims to reshape the crypto space from fragments into a unified system, played a massive role in the building of this new bridge.
In partnership with BSC and Cardano, they deployed the first bridge linking the two blockchains.
No doubt all parties affected were thrilled about this achievement and the corresponding benefits that will result from it.Ā
However, it comes with a condition: holders of COPI, the utility token of the Cornucopias ecosystem, will not be able to move their tokens from BSC to Cardano seamlessly.
In addition, for the transfer to be successful, they need at leastĀ 5000 tokens.Ā
According to the announcement, Cornucopias also acknowledged Input Output, a research company keenly interested in the Cardano chain, for its contribution to the creation of the bridge.
The recent bridge is one of the many accomplishments of the Cardano blockchain in its quest for interoperability.
In June 2021, they successfully launched the first bridge linking the Cardano and Nervous blockchains.Ā
Further, in September, IOHK assisted with creating and launching the first bridge linking the Cardano chain and Ethereum.
In August 2022, the first cross-chain bridge between Cardano-Cosmos went live powered by Sifchain.
The latest deployed bridge is a huge success and development for both networks’ ecosystems.
BSC network suffered a loss of over $500 million from the cyber attack that occurred in the early part of October; even though the platform introduced an upgrade that tackled the issue after the hack, it was a devastating loss.
This news will not only boost the morale of their users, but it will also boost the platform’s development signaling a win during this turbulent time.
